Hesham Hussain is currently a Program Manager of Applications Engineering in the clean energy industry at a distributed power generation company. Hesham has several years of engineering and sales management experience in energy including oil & gas industry.
Hesham is a member the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) and has served as a member and an officer for a number of other professional organizations: Arab American Association of Engineers and Architects (AAAEA), Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), and was part of professional programs serving as an advisor of Master’s Degree projects at San Jose State University and participated in the prestigious Global Technology Institute sponsored by the University.
As an active member of the AAYSP, Hesham served as a member of the local and national boards since 2010. Hesham earned his Bachelor’s and Master's degrees in Chemical Engineering from San Jose State University, California. Hesham is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of CA.
Adeeb Mozip serves as the Director of Business Affairs at the Wayne State University Law School. Adeeb has over 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience in the higher education industry. Adeeb has served in a number of capacities at Wayne State University and University of Michigan.
Adeeb is a member of the following professional organizations: National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO), American Educational Research Association (AERA) and the University Council for Educational Administration (UCEA).
As an active member of the AAYSP, Adeeb served as a member of the local and national boards for the past ten years. Adeeb earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration with a major in accounting from the University of Michigan – Dearborn and his master of business administration degree from the WSU Mike Ilitch School of Business. Adeeb is currently pursuing a doctorate in educational leadership and policy studies from the Wayne State University College of Education.
Jehan Hakim is currently a High School Counselor and works with the Hayward Unified School District. Previously she served as the Community Advocate with Asian Americans Advancing Justice-Asian Law Caucus (ALC) on the National Security and Civil Rights program. At ALC, Jehan and her team collaborated with numerous organizations in the Bay Area to support AMEMSA communities through a combination of direct legal services, impact litigation, and public education and advocacy; also provided Arabic translation for clients with immigration concerns/cases; organized protests and actions.
Current serves as on the board of Just Foreign Policy.
Jehan was the President of the California Chapter of the American Association of Yemeni Students and Professionals (AAYSP) in 2015. At AAYSP she led a board of six members where, together with the Yemeni American community, they promoted education and professional development, coordinated meetings and outreach and organized annual events.
She is also an ongoing panel speaker for the “Meet a Muslim” program.
Ahmed Alkholeidi is a practicing Dentist in Houston, Texas. Dr. Alkholeidi is an active member of American Academy of Implant Dentistry, Academy of General Dentistry and American Dental Association.
Dr. Alkholeidi served as a member of University of Maryland School of Dentistry’s Admission Committee for two years. He also served as the president of University of Maryland Muslim Students Association. During his undergraduate studies, Dr. Alkholeidi accomplished multiple academic recognitions including Dean’s Honor. He also received multiple recognitions and awards during his doctoral education including induction into the Ferdinand J.S. Gorgas Odontological Honor Society, the Gamma Pi Delta Prosthodontic Honor Society, and the Delta Dental Student Leadership Award to show appreciation for students who contribute to the community-at-large.
Dr.Alkholeidi has been a part of AAYSP since 2008 and co-founded the AAYSP-CA chapter. He has a strong passion and an unwavering commitment to help other students achieve higher education and prosperous professional lives. Dr. Alkholeidi holds a degree in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of California Berkeley and a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University Of Maryland School Of Dentistry, the world’s first Dental College.
Mohamed S. Alrayyashi is currently a 2nd year medical student at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine in Rochester MI (Class of 2021). He is a part of the American Medical Association. His previous experience consists of being an educational instructor, community activist and a scientific researcher.
As an active member of AAYSP, Mohamed served as a member of the local chapter for 8 years. His previous role was the President of the Michigan chapter. Mohamed has received his B.S degree in Biochemistry and Chemical Biology from Wayne State University in Detroit MI. He has also received his M.S in Biological Chemistry from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor. He has spent time working as a Graduate Research Assistant at Michigan Medicine.
