Husam is a mindful and resourceful community leader. He is invested in the youth and their families. Husam has been a longtime advocate and activist foughing for the rights of marginalized Yemeni Americans. Husam has been a vehicle for change in the Bay Area for many underserved youths. With mentorship programs he led in Oakland and SF; empowering them to fulfill their potential, helping them increase academic performance, and ensure they have the know-how to graduate from high school and apply to college. Husam studied Computer Science. He is a skilled computer user. Currently enrolling in UC Berkeley extension for coding bootcamp. Husam owns and operates a number of business ventures and has also founded and chaired a number of community organizations. Husam joined AAYSP in 2015 to promote education and held chapter board positions.
