She has dedicated her contributions of wisdom to be a servant leader in her community and empowers people for social and restorative justice advocacy. She managed and advised on multiple political campaigns using her leadership skills to maximize the potential of the people in her community. She volunteered as a co-founder and vice president of a non-profit organization, before branching out and starting her own non-profit, Promise Relief Organization, which helps provide basic human necessities and resources for families struggling with the current status quo in Yemen. In addition, Nagwa sits on the School-Based Mental Health Advisory Board.

In her own words:

“One of the challenges I faced during my college years was learning to balance my career, classes, and my home life. Once I learned how to prioritize what was most important, I exceeded my expectations and capability of doing things. Time management is a wildly important learned skill.

I taught in the classroom for over ten years and knew from the very beginning I wanted to be a principal. After consistently participating in school-wide initiatives, I wanted a greater role to contribute at a larger capacity which led me to further my degree into a leadership program.”

My Advice to you:

In order to make positive and effective changes in the world, you have to be proactive in getting things done, even if you do it alone.

Always search for ways to challenge yourself and engage in activities or projects that represent the ideas you support. Do everything with pure intentions and this will guide you.

Create a personal vision board with your goals & put a solid plan into action to obtain these goals. Don’t give up until you’ve achieved everything you want”
