
Badr Alsaidi is a Grants Manager at the Department of Social Services (DSS), where he manages over fourteen million dollars in grants awarded to community-based organizations across NYC. Badr is also an MPA Candidate at Baruch College, specializing in Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management. With a passion for public service and community engagement, Badr has over five years of experience in various roles in NYC government, including serving as the Tenant Helpline Lead at the Mayor’s Public Engagement Unit and the Cultural Liaison at the Mayor’s Census Office. He has also co-founded Eiha Group, a youth-led cultural group, and worked as the Director of Merchants Services at the Yemeni American Merchants Association, where he supported local businesses and advocated for their rights. Badr has developed skills in leadership, program management, government affairs, data analysis, and cultural awareness, and has received multiple honors, such as the Arab America 30 Under 30 award, New York City Council Proclamation and NYS Senate Proclamation. Badr is determined to use his education and experience to create positive social impact and improve quality of life for New Yorkers.
