Amani Hassan is a junior at UC Berkeley, pursuing a major in Cognitive Science and a minor in Education. Currently, she holds the position of Program Manager at the AAYSP California Chapter, where she is responsible for managing their Literacy and After School Expanded Learning Programs. Amani oversees the operations at three school sites, where these valuable services are offered to elementary Yemeni and Muslim students within the Oakland Unified School District. She finds great satisfaction in her work, as it allows her to support and be a positive presence for these students in their school environments. During her leisure time, Amani cherishes moments spent with her family, enjoying their company.
