My name is Fairooz Oudeif and I am an undergraduate student on the pre-med at the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor. Besides my roles in AAYSP, I am a board member of the Yemeni Students’ Association at the University of Michigan and of Medical Arabic at the University of Michigan Medical School. On my free time, I enjoy trying new food and traveling!

Why did you join AAYSP?

I joined AAYSP because it has helped me develop over the course of my academic career and I wanted to contribute to the bright future we have ahead of us. AAYSP has inspired me to continue to educate myself and advocate for those who are underrepresented so that I can become the best version of myself as a prospective healthcare provider!

To me, a successful Yemeni-American is someone that sets objectives, is committed to achieving them, and strives to go beyond them.
