Mohamed Taleb is the new Deputy Director of AAYSP. He is a dedicated Bay Area community organizer, who was once the Community Advocate with the National Security and Civil Rights program at Advancing Justice – Asian Law Caucus (ALC). Mohamed is the founder of the Yemeni Student Association (YSA) of Berkeley and now serves as an advisor to the board. Mohamed has a passion for educational equity, social justice and community resiliency. He loves playing sports. His life long goal is to keep playing soccer well past 70 years old.

Mohamed is an Oakland native, father to an amazing baby boy and studied Sociology at UC
Berkeley.
